Dear sweet rachel girl,
I can't believe you are 5 years old today! You are growing so tall and have learned so much this year! I am not sure if I am ready for Monday when I send you off to the kindergarten...who is going to play dollies with emily and help mommy with sam? I know in my heart you are ready, but I just can't seem to let you go just quite yet. You are such a delight to me, I have yet to meet a little girl who LOVES to be in front of the camera like you do - you are my P.E.R.F.E.C.T. model and I love it that we share the love of pictures together! alright little one, here's to another great year of learning, growing and let's not forget....playing!:)

I have tried 4 times in the past 2 years to get a good balloon shot...has never happened until last night! The balloons always pop or float away, or the kiddos are scared of them and we have to let them go!:)

Yesterday was the first day of dance for the year and I don't think little emily could have been any more excited! She is officially in the "no mommies allowed" class! She was a bit distraught about a little boy being in her class....she said,
"there is a BOY in my class - I HATE BOYS, they always try to kiss me!"
Rachel is in the show class and is super excited about her costume this year...TINKERBELL... "with wings AND a tiara mom!"

That I had to give him back today.

I hate that he didn't want me to walk him to his classroom.

I hate that he is growing up so fast.

I hate that I have to send another kid off to kindergarten on monday.

I hate that my "newborn" is wearing 3-6 month clothes already.

tell me....where does the time go?

My little blued eyed boy was sitting on the couch so happy today, so I just had to grab my camera! I love that I can capture my children just as i see them through my eyes, it's my little way freezing time, if only for a moment. He brightens my day with his silly little facial expressions - I seriously fall in love with him more and more everyday. Wow, 2 months old today! I LOVE this hat! I was greeted by a package in the mail and this is what i found inside! Paul's cousins wife (did you follow that?) made it for sam!

that time again!

yes, it's true....it is that time of year AGAIN!!!! Can you believe that fall is just around the corner already? Well, as all photographers know, this is the CRAZIEST time of year and i get anxiety just thinking about the craziness to come! So, I have thought this over long and hard and have figured out a way to simplify. I am all about simplifying these days, I don't have time to give everyone a full session (baby needs mama, if you know what I mean!) So doing 3 full sessions a day is OUT OF THE QUESTION! I have decided to pick a few Saturdays and offer ONLY mini sessions! I am in the process of getting it all set up on my blog. They will be booked on a first come first serve basis and MUST be paid in advance through paypal or credit card! I am so excited about the locations and of course my FAVORITE props EVER! I am keeping my ideas TOP SECRET...so you will have to book a session to find out what I have up my sleeve! See what a tricky business woman i can be?!

i am leaving you with a few of 2 of my all time favorite kiddos from my neighborhood! They are FAST little stinkers, but so much fun! Her mommy MADE the yellow pettie skirt - FABULOUS, i know, cause she made me one!

Sam's special day

Yesterday was our little Sam's blessing day, and it turned out to be such a special day! my mom was able to fly here from Florida, but we sure missed grandpa (he is still not healthy enough to fly.) Daddy did such a sweet job and Sam was an angel! The other 3 kiddos sang a song in sacrament meeting all by themselves and knew just about every word! I couldn't be a prouder mama!:)
