Happy New Year!

I seriously can't get over how fast each year seems to fly by! Last year this cute little fella was the size of a peanut and now here he is as big as can be! I will always love 2009 for the very reason that it is the year our baby Sam entered into our family and stole our hearts! It's also the year that my shy little Rachel went off to Kindergarten and has started to come out of her shell because of it! Here's to a great 2010 where Zach will be 8 years old and getting baptized..GASP! How is that possible??? And Emily....well, she will still be my mischievous little girl for another year and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Happy New Year!

ps. the darling hats were made by my mom! Can you believe she made them out of an old cardigan sweater??? Yes,she is amazing!:)

Christmas 2009!

My sister has been after me to post about my Christmas...so this is for you sista!:)
We all had a great HEALTHY day (unlike years past!) Poor Rachel was so concerned about getting sick again, that she literally made herself feel sick on Christmas eve...luckily, once she fell asleep was good to go! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well!:)

Santa brought Zach his very own guitar - he played with it ALL day and even mananged to teach himself a song or 2 out of his book! Oh, and the missionaries came over for a little while and Elder Curlis was kind enough to tune our guitars for us (yes, Paul got me one too!) Maybe we should start the BOLTON BAND!

I had always dreamed of having a little blond hair, blue eyed princess to follow me around...and follow me is what you do best!:) My heart aches at the thought of you growing up and not wanting me around, sigh..... or maybe you will be like me and call your mommy all the time! Anyway, just thought I 'd let ya know that I love you my little sugar plum!

ps. You did a fabulous job at your recital the other night!

polar express

I am in mommy heaven! I LOVE not having anything else to do this season other then playing with my fsmily! We have had a wonderful week full of santa visits, shopping, Christmas tree hunting, decorating and best of all.....THE POLAR EXPRESS!!!! My sweet Aunt invited my family to her "GRANDMA'S DAY OUT" at the Polar Express! I LOVE her so much and she always includes my family in all of her "grandma and grandpa" activities. Grandma Jideen provided all the grandkids with matching jammies to wear on the train....I think it was a given that a FABULOUS time was had by all! emmie receiving her bell from santa sam wanting to sing some carols with his big sis! watching out the window for santa at the north pole!!!!

a quick Hello!

Gosh. I am such a blog slacker lately! Just 5 more sessions to edit and I am a FREE woman! I am determined to enjoy the Christmas season this year instead of stressing over pictures and orders...so I am not doing anymore until mid January! Awww...I can't wait to be able to photograph more of this little (BIG) man! Nope you can't have him - he's all mine!

Dear Zach, Rachel and little emily,
Mommy is so proud of you today. You did such a great job in the primary program! I get stopped in the halls at church each week by someone telling me how cute you guys are, and that you know every word to the primary songs...that makes my heart so happy! I was the same way when I was a little girl - I couldn't get enough of primary! I loved the theme this year about families being together forever. What greater blessing could there ever be then to be with you for eternity? There just isn't. I couldn't ask for better children... and as much as I hate to admit it, you will grow up, but I hope you will always stay beautiful inside and out and stay close to your Heavenly Father.
love you much!
xoxo,
mommy

I might just be the BEST mother on the planet!

So, as some of you are aware, I am REALLY struggling with Emily these past few months. I love my little spit fire of a girl to pieces, but she is driving me INSANE!!!! She has decided to wet her pants about 3 times a day for no apparent reason at all, she has attached herself to Sam's binki's and throws FULL ON TANTRUMS wherever the heck she feels the urge to do so! So, Yesterday I had all 4 kids at the post office (am i crazy? yes!) when the urge came on to throw a HUGE fit! Of course the line is a mile long and everyone is just staring at me! To make things worse, Sam started screaming bloody murder, and Zach had to pee REALLY bad! When I finally got the to car I was ONE MAD MAMA! Emily was still screaming and making sam even more upset, so I turned around and flicked her on her mouth. Yes, I know that just makes her scream louder and harder, but it made me feel a little better!:) I tried to block out the squawking as i drove home. I got to a stop light and looked back at her and she was COVERED in blood! I am not just saying a little...her hands were covered, her face was covered, it was even in her hair! Here's our conversation....

me: Emily? What happened? Why are you covered in blood?

Em: From you flicking me!

me: That is NOT from me, I barely flicked you!

Em: It is from you.

Me: No, I think it's coming from your nose!

Em: (Now hysterical and gagging at the sight of her own blood) Make it stop!

We get to another stoplight so I lean back to see where it is coming from...it is coming from her lip! I think my nail clipped her lip! What kind of mother makes their 3 year have a bloody lip? i guess now you know of at least one!
