just browsing....

One of my FAVORITE things to do is to browse through etsy shops and other really creative blogs for ideas for my own home and life! Today I found these little lovelies that I think I might just HAVE to buy! I am not sure what I will do with them, but they remind me of my grandma who used to have a pink set (hmmm...I wonder if she still does?)

Alright mom...get to sewing! I think these little lightweight pants would be adorable on "still nameless" baby brother this summer! I love that she makes them light weight and out of crib sheets! check out her site www.soulemama.com


here are couple more thing that I want to make...Yeah right!:) One is a play mat that rolls up - the colors are FABULOUS! And the flag sign I REALLY want to make for the nursery and put his name on it, but that would mean we would actually HAVE to give him a name wouldn't it????:) Both of these were found on modabakeshop.com

Springtime joy!

I really need to live in a place that is warm and beautiful all year round..the sun,the yellow flowers, the fresh air just makes me happy! It even makes me WANT to clean my house! I get a high off of opening all the windows and doors and tearing into my BEAUTIFUL disaster!:)

My little man is pretty sick and I want him back to normal! He has a swollen lymphnode, tonsilities AND an ear infection all at the same time. He is on a hefty dose of nasty antibiotics...I sure hope it helps him, he is breaking my heart!

the kids picked these little purple beauties from our grass, came in and asked me for my favorite bowl (i was not allowed to ask what for), and VOILA - a perfect bowl of floweres for their mama!

Is anyone else getting SICK if this weather????? Luckily next week we can welcome the 70degree warmth! You'd better put on your sunglasses to protect yourself from my BLINDING WHITE legs, cause here they come!:) whoo hoo!

That's just how it goes when church starts at 9:00am!:) I am going on a hunt for the perfect spot tomorrow - I am thinking purple trees, daffodils...mmmmm.... I LOOOOVE SPRING!:) Oh, and Emily was happy that the bunny forgot to bring her that darn bra!:)

Too funny!

I know I just posted yesterday, but I had to share this funny story about Emily.
She came up to me sobbing about the Easter bunny (which she is TERRIFIED of) - I couldn't understand a word she was trying to say through her tears. I finally got her to calm down enough to understand a few words about the Easter Bunny, her basket, and a bra! Rachel pipped in and mentioned that there was a commercial on TV about the Easter bunny bringing bras instead of candy!!!! She was ticked...apparently she DOES NOT want a bra in her basket!:) Silly goose!

WHAT A DAY!

You know you are having one of those days when you go to photo shoot, bend down and the front half of your pants rip and you really don't even care!:) Yup, that was me today! I guess it was time to kiss those pants goodbye, they have been through 3 pregnancies! Normally, I think I would have died of embarrassment, but I was so tired from a CRAZY day, lack of sleep and an EXTREMELY whiny Emily, that it really didn't even phase me one bit! Where has my dignity gone???:)
On a better note... My dad's surgery went well. He will be in the ICU for a few days to recover, but everything is looking really good. Thanks so much for all the prayers and notes of concern for our popop! We LOVE YOU ALL!

So, my dad's lung surgery didn't go as planned. Due to some complications they were unable to remove the mass from his lung, which is a major bummer. They are going to try again on Tuesday. The other shocker is that the 3rd round of tests came back that cancer cells were found...another major bummer. We thought he was in the clear.
I know I posted about this yesterday for a couple of minutes, but I took it off until I knew for sure that he was aware of this himself. Please continue to pray for him - he is feeling very discouraged right now and could use all the positive thoughts and prayers. we love you pop pop!
