simple happiness

The girls went outside to play in the wind yesterday! Usually Emily is terrified of it, but she was having a ball! She was squeeling with excitement while running after Rachel ( who once again is in her tutu). For some reason that picture makes me smile just thinking about it! If only we all got excited about simple things like the wind!
I also love that Emily picked out her own "outfit" and wouldn't let anyone take it off!

My poor Van!

Well, my van has a boo boo! If it wasn't dark , and I wasn't so lazy I would go out and take a picture of the caved in bumper! You know how people always tell you that most accidents happen less than 1 mile from your home? Well, it is so true! We were stopped waiting to turn left onto a little side street heading home from the park today, when we heared tires screeching and then a crash! I seriously didn't feel anything - just heard it! I didn't even think we had been hit! A teenager driving a red mustang ran into the back of us! The kids were a little scared, but luckily nobody was hurt. Aren't big cars awesome? If we would have been in Paul's little car it would have been bad! The cop came and wrote her a ticket and did the paper work and we were on our way. We had to call Grandpa to come pick up the kids because Rachel was crying and thought I was going to get "under arrested!" Good thing grandma and grandpa only live a block away! The back is pretty banged up, so we are glad the girl has insurance! I felt bad for her because she was crying and so embarrassed. She was very honest with the police man! She flat out admitted to not paying attention - accidents happen, I am just glad nobody was hurt! What an eventful day!
I photographed the cutest family ever lastnight! I seriously could have taken them home to call my own! LOVED THEM! It was freezing, so I had to choose shooting in the sun to keep them happy, because any sort of shade was miserable! they were such troopers!

slacker!

i know, I have been slacking on my blogging this week! I have been insanely busy with pictures, YW's, dance class, kindergarten stuff and now soccer season has started....how I am I going to do all of these things and still stay sane!:) I feel a bit scatterbrained lately! All of these things led up to a Migraine yesterday which put me back another day! On wedneday we had a missionary relay race for our combined activity. It was really fun, but one of the races was eating green jello with shredded carrots and NASTY raisins that had expanded, and had SERIOUS texture issues!!!! One team was short a player so i thought i'd try to help out and eat some! BIG MISTAKE!!!! That night when my migrain hit me, all I could think about was that NASTY green jello! I am so suprised I didn't puke! BELIEVE ME....I came so close i had to run to the bathroom just in case! NOTE TO SELF: NEVER EAT GREEN JELLO AGAIN!:)

onto a better note...

So I have realized that I am an idiot and just should have said "no" in the first place!:) I promise, I will next time!!!! Your comments had me laughing! Onto a better note...meet Max! Isn't he adorable? I took his newborn pictures and i still can't get over how big he is now! Wow - Time flies, doesn't it? Anyway, I found this old suit case for a buck and was so excited to have a little boy to test it out! ( I usually only get girls!) they are such a cute little family and best of all his mommy's name is Aubrey! I am not sure if she spells it the same way though!

THE STOOL MAN!

Okay, So some of you will know EXACTLY who I am talking about. For those of you who don't know the "stool man" let me fill you in!
A few weeks a go I hear a knock at the door. It was dark, windy, snowing etc....
We are all sitting down getting ready to eat dinner so Paul answers the door. I heard Paul say, "yeah, let me go get her." I whispered to him, "Is it a man with a stool?" He looks at me really confused and nodded "yes."
So I get to the door and sure enough, it's the old man with a stool that I was so kindly warned about at play group earlier that week. He tells me that his Grandkids are making these fabulous stools and selling them.
First of all...If it's for his grandkids, why in the HECK is he out in sub zero temps knocking on doors! He tells me to take the stool, close the door and try it out in my kitchen! So, those of you who know me well, know that i hate to say no to people. So I do what he tells me to do. I took the stool into the kitchen and stood on it - paul says, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" ( I am seriusly laughing so hard I am crying right now!) Anyway, I opened the front door and kindly gave the man back his stool and said, "yup - it's great!" He then tells me the price of this beauty and I almost fell over! $39.00!!!! Who pays that for a stool????? I told him we didn't have the money right then, but thanks anyway. He then asked, " When you have money would you be interested?" Again, stupid me, replied, " yeah, when I have the money I would probably be interested, but we just don't have that much."
I thought I'd never hear from him again! WRONG!!!! Lastnight he shows up at my door and says,"I have your stool in my car." WHAT THE HECK??? I was speechless - I really had no idea what to say! I told him I still don't have the $$$ for a stool, and that I was so sorry that he went throught the trouble!" I really, truley felt bad.
He tried to get me to write a post dated check for a time when we might have $$$$. He finally left, but I am sure he will be back! So now everytime the doorbell rings my heart skips a beat and I panic that it's the stool man coming to take my $39.00!
I know that some of you ( you know who you are!) gave into this man and bought the stinkin thing, but I could never enjoy a wooden stool that cost me so much!
Anyway, I thought I'd share that little bit of randomness! I am off to get cheese fries with one of my Laurels....YUMMY!:) I LOVE CHEESE FRIES!

love her.

there is nothing technically correct about this picture, but I sure LOVE her.

PLEEEEase warm up...pretty please!!!!!

I know it's supposed to warm up this weekend, but it just isn't coming fast enough! I have had to cancel a month's worth of photoshoots because of "winter" weather! IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!! I have found a new pastime while awaiting for the warmth! I have been collecting "vintage" finds for a tea party! I haven't decided if I will do it for rachels last day of dance class (for the summer) or for her birthday party...what the heck - why not do both!:) I am working on some adorable things for it! So far nothing has cost me more than 2.00!!! OH, I lied, the tea pot was a little more, but I couldn't resist a "musical teapot" - yes, it has a music box on the bottom and it plays a sweet little song when you lift it up to pour it! I was so excited I could hardly sleep!:) I will start taking pictures of them and share them!
I have been in a photo slump lately, so no pictures of my babies, but my posts just seem naked without some sort of a picture, so here are a couple of yesterdays bundle of joy! ENJOY!

Grandpa's little girl!

For those of you who aren't aware....Rachel has her Grandpa wrapped around her little finger! She has been In LOVE with a little pink bike that someone in our neighborhood has! Whenever we go for our walks, she asks to walk by the house with the pretty bike! She slows her bike down and stares at the BEAUTIFUL bike! She told her Grandpa all about it and says that someday she would really like a "Shiny, pretty, princess bike too! But it has to have pom poms grandpa!" Well, apparently grandpa just couldn't resist her baby blues and took her to pick out a bike! I think she is in LOOOOVE! The helmet cracks me up! It is bigger than her entire body!
"Make sure you take a picture of the pom poms sparkeling mom!" Oh how I adore her!

2 posts in one day - go me!

I told mommy I would post a few! Aren't they adorable kids?:)

sissy piggies

Poor little Emily's hair has seemed to stop growing! She was born with a head of hair, the nurse even said to me, "think of all the hair possibilities!"
Well, it just kind of stopped growing! Lately she has been begging for "SISSY PIGGIES" She wants her hair like rachels! I tried to convince her that her hair was too short....this led to a full on tantrum! i decided to try - this is what came of it! She is so proud of her new SISSY PIGGIES! She is the funniest little thing! She is the only one of the 3 with an out going funny personality - this makes mommy soooo happy! Although, she does hate nursery when I'm not there with her!
She calls bubbles "boobs" I had no idea what she was crying about at Walmart when she was LOUDLY announcing to everyone, "mow boobs, mow boobs!" I finally figured out she was trying say "More bubbles!" I was so embarrassed!
