Zoo Day!

I can't remember if I ever posted these, so if I have then you are going to see them again!:) paul and I took the kids to the zoo on member day and had so much fun! The carosel was finally finished, so of course we had to take it for a spin! I LOVE the lion drinking fountain, infact, i am sure we all remember the excitement of getting a drink out of the lions mouth when we were little! I love that it is still there for my kids to enjoy! Happy Wednesday!

Angels among us

Here are a few from one of tonight's mini sessions. This little girl was in Rachel's dance class last year, so her mommy and I became friends while waiting for class to end each week! Anyway, this cute family was in a roll over accident this summer and is truly lucky to be alive today! Their car rolled 6 times! When she told me about it I got goosebumps! She said that angels were surrounding them that day, and I believe they were! When she mentioned the angels I had think how ironic that I had brought a pair of wings with me. I haven't used the wings in a shoot in over a year, but for some reason I ran back in the house to grab them (even though I was running late.) I love what it represents for their family that was watched over by "their" angels on that horrific day.

Blogging....

Well, there really isn't much to blog about these days! But I did want to share a peek for this little girls' mommy! Little miss "O" wasn't the least bit interested in looking at me - so I had to be really quick when she at least turned her head in the general direction!
Okay onto the blogging world.....
I was talking to a friend the other day and she was saying how depressing reading blogs can be! She pointed how "perfect" everyone makes their lives out to be and NEVER mentions the hardships of everyday. ya know, she is right! I guess some of us are afraid to blog about the "bad" days too! Not that my life is bad, but yes, a bit repetitious and quite boring at times! So here ya go, a glimpse of my everyday life as a a typical stay at home mama:

1.crawl out of bed to break up a fight over the remote to the TV

2. Search the cupboards for something to feed them for breakfast

3. Clean up the spilled cereal

4. change a nasty diaper!!!!!

5. Break up another fight

6. Try to get a load or 2 of clothes in the laundry

7. get my photo orders printed

8. change another diaper

9. Go to the park to get out the energy (stop and get mama a drink of course!)

10. Make another mess with lunch

11. read a book or two to the kiddos

12. NAP TIME!!!!! whooo hooo!!!!

13. Work on pictures while girl's sleep (house is a bomb - no time to clean it!)

14. Girls wake up, change yet another nasty diaper, break up yet another fight.....

Well, you get the drift.....Not always the most glamorous day, but I LOVE it anyway!

sisters part 2!

I was finishing up Emily's pictures and remembered snapping these without the girls even knowing. I was really far away from them, so i was glad I had my BIG lens on to reach them in action! Emily was scared of the hill they were standing on and Rachel was trying to comfort her! I wish i could have heard what she was saying, I am sure it was so sweet! I have learned through the years that sometimes the most blurry, technically wrong photos are the ones to cherish! So true - i *heart* these!

The one of Rachel and her doll is another fav of mine - once again....she didn't even know I was there! I LOVE that she shares my love of baby dolls! When I was little I cherished each and every one! Oh how I longed for a real doll cradle to rest them in! hmmm... Can you guess what the first "girly" purchase was for my princess??? YUP! A doll cradle (from the DI of course) I painted it and added a touch of mommy to it! I will have to take a picture of it sometime!

She uses her littler box and everything!:) Maybe the 3rd time is a charm! Every time we go somewhere the kids wig out and make me double check under the van!:) Yes...mommy the kitty killer is being a bit more kitty cautious this time around!

I promise - I haven't forgotten!

I apologize that it has taken me so long to get your galleries up! I have had a few "technical" problems with my computer and I HOPE it is all back to normal! Has anyone ever tried to edit pictures with a mouse that doesn't work right???? NOT AN EASY THING! Then I found out my CD burner pooped out on me, THEN my memory card went buzurk and I couldn't get the pictures off of it! Seriously, when it rains it pours at our house! Ugggg.....technology!
I haven't forgotten about you!:) Thanks so much for patience while I get caught up!
Here are couple of cute girls... since I hate posting without a picture!

Kitty mishap!

Well, remember the kitty??? We had to trade that one in for another one, because it would not stop using the carpet as it's potty! So we traded it in for a really cute little bundle of fur. This one is is tiny, and really puts up with Emily
carrying it around by it's limbs! Well, that was the case until yesterday when mommy ran over it with the van!!!!!! Yes, I was the cause of death! I thought for sure Emily was going to be the death of it! It must have ran outside when I ran in to get Emily's shoes for playgroup! i didn't even know I hit it until I pulled into our driveway on our way back. It took me a second to figure out what it was. I was horrified when I got closer and saw it was our little skittles/Batman (yes, that was her name, the kids kept arguing over the name!)
The kids started screaming and crying. I wasn't sure what to do with it. I knew I couldn't get close enough to put it in a box without puking and being permanently traumatized, so I hauled the kids to our neighbor's house and asked him if he could get rid of it for me. He went and scooped the poor little thing up and sprayed off the driveway for me. WHAT A NICE GUY, huh? Now that it is all over I feel stupid that I asked him to do such a disgusting thing for me! I am off to bake him a BIG plate of goodies! Thanks Cliff - you're the best neighbor a mommy could ask for!
As for another kitty....Can it really be possible for one family to have 3 kitties in ONE week????? We'll see!

Can it be true????

Emily is two????
Oh my little peanut, I can't believe you are 2!!!! Time goes by way too fast. I swear
I woke up one morning and you were no longer a baby, but a beautiful little girl! You still make my heart melt everytime I lay my eyes on you! I have yet to meet a person that looks at you and doesn't smile! Even when you were a new baby everyone would stop me to oohhh and awww over your beauty! (except for the lady who said you were so goofy looking that you were almost cute!):)
Anyway, You were a surprise to our family, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
You wake me each morning by making me laugh. I love that you stand in your crib and yell, "mama, I ready to be nice" as if you are in bed as a punishment! Makes me laugh everytime! You give the best squeezes and are such a daddy's girl!
Most of all I love how much you LOVE your sister. I hope you two will always be best friends! happy birthday sweet girl, we LOVE you! (click to enlarge these pics!)
xoxo,
mommy

KITTY UPDATE*****

So, about 30 minutes after posting the last post.....
I found the kitty poo! I was putting away some laundry and just happened to look down before grabing the next item...good thing I did cause there was a big pile of kitty poop on daddy's stack of clean scrubs!!!! HE HE HE HE!:)
Once again, SO GLAD IT WAS HIS IDEA! Out of multiple piles of clothes to chose from, he chose daddy's pile! GREAT DAY! :)
DANG IT - I should have taken a picture! EWWWWW!!!

We aren't ALWAYS white trash....

just today! I took the kids out front really quick to snap a few pics of our new kitty (yes, a kitty, i will get to that in a minute!) Well, as you can see, Rachel
(adorned in her one of a kind outfit) was busy picking her nose, emily was sporting her BEYOND soggy diaper and oreo face! I got most of the oreo cookie off by slathering her with my famous mommy spit bath before attempting the pictures!
Why is it we spit on our children's faces to clean them??? I KNOW I hated it when my mom wiped her nasty spit fingers on my face! I think every kid reacts the same way....
eyes shut real tight, lips clamped shut, and then the head thrash, ya know when they throw their heads around in every direction possible trying avoid the mommy spit? yup! That's the one I gave emily!:)

Anyway, back to the kitty! Paul had this brilliant idea to bring home a free kitten for Emily's birthday! Yes, you heard right...ALL HIS IDEA!!!! I LOVE when he has these brilliant ideas, because when they terribly wrong, he can't blame me!:)
I have a sneaky feeling things are going to go terribly wrong any day now, because we have had the kitty for 24 hrs, and it has yet to go potty! His litter box is as clean as can be - NOTHING!!!! hmmm....how long can a kitty hold it in for? My guess is he has found an alternative potty that we are unaware of! he he he!!!!!
NOT MY DOING!!!! The kids love our new friend KIRBY and can't figure out why Kirby doesn't like to be squeezed to death and doesn't just sit on their laps!!!!!
OH, HAPPY TIMES!

Silly Rachel

today I was sitting on the couch and had this RANDOM conversation with rachel!

Rach: Mommy?

me: what?

rach: I really need a girls night out.

me: Oh really? Why?

rach: So we can talk about David Archuletta...Duh!

I seriously spit my lemonade out!
What a nut!

This picture was taken the other day when I sent the girls out to play. they had pulled the bucket thing across the yard into some shade and were playing submarine!
I came out with my camera...

Me: Can I take your picture?

rach: yeah, but make it quick my eyes are tired of being open today!

Happy 4th of July!

Let's start over today!

Can I just tell you I am so glad today is a new day? If anything could have gone wrong yesterday - it did! I swear the world was against me! I had just about hit rock bottom when I realized my BESTEST friend ever was in town....My Fizzy(Felicity)!
I pretty much threw the kids at Paul and headed to my old High school stomping grounds,(Sugar House) and found my fizzy! Isn't it strange how you can literally smell memories? I never really go there unless she is in town. As I was driving past Sugar house park, and then Highland High, the smell of High School summers came back!
then we sat on a blanket in her front yard like we have done countless times before, only this time we didn't scarf down a carton of ice cream or eat mac and cheese! The neighborhood was different somehow... the trees seemed bigger and bushier, the houses on the street had been updated, It was just different....
Oh!!!! But one thing never changes.....WE still LOVE frosty's!!!! No trip to fizzy's is complete with either a Wendy's frosty, or an Arby's melt....YUM! Even though I was only gone for a couple of hours, I returned home a happy girl! Thanks Hun!:)

I was planning on posting some fun pictures, but it says bloggers server is down- DANG IT!
