meet.....

The newest member of our family.....
his name is Henry(named by emily) Isn't he adorable????
Have I ever mentioned that I have the most talented family/friends on the planet? Well, I do! This little owl was made by my friend Heather. We have never met in person, only online, and yet she was generous enough to whip up Henry for baby brothers room!:) Emily has taken claim to him, in fact we have had him for an entire day and he has already seen the sites of Target, Walmart, and Del Taco!:)
Thanks Heather - we LOVE him (and you too!)

my monkey!

Out of all of my kids, my sweet little Emily is my BIGGEST handful! She is constantly on the go....I would kill for her to sit and watch an entire cartoon - NOT HAPPENING! Every room I enter, I am followed by the pitter patter of her little bare feet on the wood floors right behind me. She is so happy, full of life, full of a million questions for me to answer. As much as I adore her, sometimes I need a few minutes of silence. The only place I can cage her in for more then 2 minutes is the bath tub! PLEASE don't go and turn me into child services( I already have a record there, but that is for another post all together!) - I only put a little water in, a few dollies, a cup or 2 and she is thoroughly entertained for an ENTIRE 10 MINUTES!:) I did this yesterday, and as I was walking by to check on her I noticed the yummy light ( yes, light is yummy!) coming through the window above her and I couldn't resist taking a picture of my little bath monkey!:) Everyone needs a little emmie in their day, so here is your fix!

a long time ago....

for some reason I can only get these 2 pictures to show up...my internet connection is SLOOOWWW today!

which seems like a life time ago, I had this this friend named Kim! We met while working at the mall and became instant friends, in fact, we even ended up living in the same dumpy apartment building together! This was seriously a life time ago... I was pregnant with Zach, Her oldest was just a baby - man, life changes fast! Our summer days consisted of sitting out on the lawn of the apartment building trying to give our white legs a bit of sun while the boys played on this ONE strip of grass. Oh, We musn't forget our creepy man friend that would always try to join us!!! He wore a t- shirt that said, "who's your daddy?" YUCK! There we would complain about our husbands, how bad it stunk to be poor, and wonder if either of us would ever be able to live in an actual house! Well, life went on from that little apartment building (which now seems so simple and perfect!)...We lost touch a few years back due to living in different states! Well, 7 years, a few kiddos later, I finally got to see her again! She wanted some pictures taken...how could I say no to that????!!!:) It was so fun to catch up a bit and see how her once, tiny little family has grown up so much!

sweet abby!

So I had a session with a busy little 2 year old girl last night! I have taken her pictures since she was a baby...it's been fun to see her grow and develop her own personality!
I finally got to use this adorable skirt from pretty petties and I made the flower clippy just for this shoot - yes, I had a vision...now I just a need a 2 year old that will cooperate! Mine won't, and this little one wanted NOTHING to do with me or having her picture taken!:) NOTE TO SELF: A cemetery is a bad place to take pictures! Too many brightly colored windmills and stuffed animals around to distract the cute little stinkers! I know it sounds creepy to use a cemetery, but it really does work if you do it right! Anyway, here are a few that I LOVE!:) YAY for Spring weather!!!!!

Like mother, like daughter

So, I thought Rachel was taking a nap, but apparently not, because I heard talking in the living room. I went upstairs to see what she was doing and I heard this...

"Okay, I am going to test the light first."

"don't worry if she pees on you, it can all be washed, alright?"

" Here, hold her head up for me."

Luckily I was able to grab my camera and snap a few pictures of her set up before I was discovered! I had to crouch down really low behind the couch...I was quickly noticed though!:)

Don't ya just LOVE the tattoo job on the big doll in the middle? That was done courtesy of Zach about 2 years ago...typical boy I tell ya!

those winter blues....

are finally leaving (i hope!)
The sun has been shining and that is just what I have needed! I met up with some photo friends yesterday and we took a few pictures and then ate a yummy lunch at gateway! It was GREAT to get outside to shoot again! I have so many ideas floating around in my mind of new things to do and try, but they all require warm weather! I have some AMAZING new petties and tutus for the little girlies and I just can't wait to use them!
I may be making ANOTHER trip to ST. George in the next few weeks for some shoots. I have had a couple of emails asking about them, but I will only go if we can get a few more people interested! let me know! :)
Here are a few from yesterday. (Don't tell Zach, but I am taking him out to have his picture taken tomorrow whether he likes it or NOT!)
