i know it might seem strange...but Valentines day is my favorite holiday! ALL things pink and girly, yummy treats and parties! What could be better, right? I was in charge of Emily's Kindergarten party this year, and it was so fun to see her so excited about it! "cupid" must have stopped by our house while we were at school, cause the kids were greeted with a table of goodies and a little present for each kid when they got home!
Daddy came home with flowers and big box of ice cream sandwiches for dessert! GOOD THING I AM WORKING OUT TODAY - i think i ate my weight in junk yesterday! oh, and paul even watched Hope Floats with me! Haven't watched that one since our newlywed days! thank you netflix.
Yup, sometimes life is just great! Emily gave me a hug at before bed and said, "this was the BEST day ever!!!" i agree.
playing house before kindergarten. never grow up, please.
i actually made things that in pinned on pinterest...i was so proud of myself!:)

all about teeth
It's all about teeth at the bolton home lately! A few days after Emily lost her first tooth...out came the second! Then the next day, little bean got his first tooth...and now the second one. i took these pics the day before they popped up - and i am so glad i did, cause nothing beats a big gummy baby grin!
oh, and he is a BITER if you know what i mean. He bites me, i jerk away, he screams, i scream. that is how our feedings go.
these pictures make me laugh. I was playing with him on the floor, but he is in that "hoover" stage. ya know the one where they think they are a vacuum and they can find ANY little thing on the floor and stick in right into their mouths? yes, that stage. He had ZERO interest in playing with me, because there were too many pieces of "who knows what" on the ground to hoover up!

a first.
I love to document the "firsts" in our lives...my kids get such a thrill out of flipping through our blog book and remembering all of their special "firsts"...
i was greeted with a VERY excited little 5 year old after school yesterday! She was holding onto a little white plastic tooth holder with her FIRST tooth inside! She wouldn't wiggle it much at home, because she knew that if it fell out at school she would get to go to the office and they would give her this cute little tooth holder necklace!!! I guess when you have 2 older siblings, you KNOW your stuff!!!:)
You would think i would past getting sad when the first tooth is gone...but it still stings me a bit. She is my last baby girl, and she is growing up way too fast for me!

SO AWESOME!
My little etsy shop is featured today on www.modernkiddo.com!!!! It was featured last Monday too and my shop went CRAAAZY busy!!! I knew I wasn't the only weirdo that likes to dress my kiddos in vintage goodies!
onto other news....there just really isn't any. I am about ready to shoot myself due to lack of sleep. We can't figure out why Sawyer doesn't sleep. You would think he would be EXHAUSTED - i know his mommy is! He is eating baby food, working on his army crawl, jabbers, giggles...everything baby, except sleeping!!!! GOOD THING HE'S CUTE!
i LOVE my boys!

Christmasing about....
First off...let's just pretend that we are on your front porch, singing you a Christmas carol and hand delivering you this card along with a tasty treat... :) Okay, so some of the treats have been made and delivered, but not the cards! I worry about getting all my clients pictures done and ready for their cards, so mine always take a back seat. oh, well! There is always next year, right?
oh, i also HAD to post a couple of pictures of the sweetest Christmas Pageant ever!!!! The kids had fun... and daddy, grandma, grandpa and i looooved every second of it! i love this special season! It really did seem to fly by this year, so i will enjoy the rest of what is left of it....hope you all do the same! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family!

our grandpa.
A few weeks ago we lost our sweet grandpa Mark. He was one of the funniest people i know. My kids refer to him as the "swearing grandpa" because he said "hell" all the time! I don't ever remember him being anything but spunky, active and full of life! When they'd come visit us when i was a kid, he'd go on early morning walks and talk to every single person that he passed on his way...then he'd come back and tell me all about them! He was a chatter box, and i like to think i got that little gift from him! I was also told my whole life that i got my blue eyes from him, because nobody else in our family has them! I am so glad i got them, cause now all my babies have the most AMAZING blue eyes ever! THANKS GRANDPA!:)
I am so glad that we were able to see him a few months ago! As soon as we pulled up to his house the kids said, "there's grandpa!" Sure enough, there he was smiling ear to ear and waving to us from his carport - he was just sitting out there waiting for us to come! He gave me a big hug and later offered me a look at his false teeth...gross! anyway, we sure love him and wish that we would have been able to visit him more often, but i know that someday we will all have a grand reunion on the other side!
a friend of mine shared this little video, and i love it! This video is why i love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so blessed to belong to such a wonderful church, that gives us hope and peace in times of sorrow. Grandpa wasn't a member of the church, but my cousin asked him if he would like to have his Temple work done, and he said, "sure, i might as well have all my bases covered!" i love him!!!http://youtu.be/wy41VCbdt0I (i can't get the video to load here, but click on the link to the left!)
