fresh eggs???

do fresh eggs freak anyone else out but me? Our chickens started laying eggs a couple of weeks ago, and i have to gag them down! Something about my kids running in, holding a hot egg in their hands gives me the creeps! I have learned to bake with them, but have yet to have scrambled eggs! The kids live for getting the eggs...they even fight over who gets to hold them. Maybe one day it won't creep me out...we'll see!

      this kid insists on wearing his "farm pants" everyday...that's why he is wearing them in all the pictures lately!

she LOVED all the sweet comments...she even laughed out loud at few of them! It really made her day! I talked to her teacher today and she was so nice and concerned about her too! I think she is just bummed about growing up!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!!!

little rachel of mine is having a hard time. a hard time with growing up. she is not loving 2nd grade at all, she comes home in tears every single day - it breaks my heart. i think this girl needs some cheering up! She loves to read our blog, so i was thinking we could surprise her with a post all about her! please leave a comment telling her something nice! apple day

if you are "kindygarden" then today is "apple day!" Emily is convinced that is is a REAL holiday! I guess they are learning about apples today and they were supposed to bring an apple to class. She debated over which apple was "just right" for about 10 minutes!  AS she gave me her hugs and kisses before skipping off to school, i whispered in her ear to "never grow up, okay?" he grinned and said, "alright!" and then she was off to apple day......

i am finally brave enough!

ya know all those cute little vintage outfits my kiddos wear? well, sadly enough they are out growing them faster and faster each day! I decided to set up a little etsy shop to sell them in! I thought it might be kinda dorky to sell used clothes, but really, it has been so much fun! I am finally brave enough to finally add  my shop link to my blog! check it out! Rachel is my little helper and loves to check it everyday! everytime we sell something she gets so excited! She says she is going to go to Disneyland with her money!:) keep checking, cause we have LOTS AND LOTS of clothes still to come!

sometimes this little man goes a few days without a bath! I simply just run out of time some days! My heart has a soft spot for clean, freshly bathed babies...especially my own! he has the most adorable curls when he gets out of the bath! i have tried and tried to capture his little grins, but every single time the camera comes out - this is the look i get! he sure is kissable anyway!

an exciting day!

today was filled with lots of adventures! Emily started kindergarten today! I am usually a crier on this day, but i did AWESOME!:)  I admit, I kinda missed my little helper, but she had so much fun! She came out grinning ear to ear and hugged her daddy and said "i want to go back again tomorrow!" love that little stink!  Do you love the back pack????  i do. Have i ever mentioned i have the most talented seamstress as a sister in law? she MADE it!!!  Yes, she spoils us!

Today is also rachel's 7th birthday! We painted fingernails last night while i told her the story of the day she was born. She layed out her birthday outfit (thanks teresa!!!) and made sure that i was going to remember to bring her class a treat! Her only request was that i "make it cute!" :)  of course it was going to be cute!!! I snagged some of the darling gift wrapping things from teresa's gift and VOILA.... ding dongs as cute as buttons! I really do love that girl of mine! I can't wrap my head around 7 though....i will have a dating teenage girl before i know it! sigh.....

     she wouldn't smile because she hates her loose front tooth!!!
