I haven't been taking on many new shoots lately, because of my leg issues i get when i am HUGE and pregnant, but i thought i'd post a few of my most recent ones just so my blog doesn't get too terribly neglected! We are hoping for a May 30th baby.... possibly sooner, but as of now the little man is breech....just waiting for his little bum to flip!
baby daphne was WIDE awake for such a new little girl...she is so sweet!
i love me some wrinkly, peeling newborn feetsies - how could you not?
my kids a.d.o.r.e these munchkins....as do i.

thank you emily....
emily: mom, you might not want to go into the kitchen.
me: why...what did you do?
emily: don't worry, i covered it up with a napkin so you don't have to see it and throw up.
me: REALLY, what did you do? (getting a little worried now)
emily: NOTHING, i just saw this really big ugly beetle bug on the floor so i covered it up till daddy gets home to scrunch it for you.
* thanks em, i appreciate the gesture.
now if only i knew where the darn
thing has crawled off to! *
ya gotta love this girl, messy face, messy hair and all...i know i do.

garden party!
I can't believe it is that time of year again.... end of the year dance class garden party!!!!
I wasn't sure that I was up to pulling it off this year, but 2 of my besties jumped right in and did all the hard stuff!!! I owe them BIG TIME! THANK YOU GIRLS!!!!! We had a new cute spot that was full of charm, baby animals and beautiful weather! we were even shown a 4 day old baby goat!
This cute tradition is always a lot of work, but I hope that my girls will always remember it, and maybe even do it for their little girls someday! Rachel thought her class might be too old for it this year, so we just did emily's class...when it came down to it, she wasn't quite ready to give it up, so she and her other dance friend joined in the fun for another year!
Are we EVER too old for a dress up party????
i.think.not.

chickies...
remember last spring when we had the BRILLIANT idea of adding ducks to our family??? Well, those only lasted a few months until it was time to take them to a happier place (really, they are happy, we feed them often and the 3 of them still cling together!) I couldn't handle the noisy, poopy little boogers in my backyard! So why in the world would I think these baby chickens would be any better this year??? I don't know... I guess I am just a sucker for cute furry baby animals. We do have a few friends that have chickens and LOVE them. The kids are so excited to collect their eggs and watch them grow up. Luckily (unlike the ducks) they will stay in a coop in our backyard where their messiness will be contained to ONE spot!
We have had them for almost 2 weeks and they getting so big already!
emily loves to snuggle them....that was until this one pooped on her legs and she started dry heaving! She has always had a week tummy!

so so so glad!
About a month ago I logged onto my blog to find the GUT WRENCHING news that my blog had been DELETED! What the crap??? I tried and tried again...but those words kept popping up on the screen! I was sick about it. Gmail sent me a few codes via texts to try...still....nothing. I called paul in tears hoping that he would have some sort of magical way of helping me...nope. The only info I could get was that my gmail account had been hacked into and everything was deleted. WHO DOES THAT??? (if i find you, I WILL beat you with a stick - a BIG one!) :) Anywho... I had just given up hope and decided that crying about it wasn't going to do any good, plus, the kids were wondering why my cry was turning into the "ugly cry" so i decided to move on with my morning. I couldn't believe that almost 5 years of journaling had just vanished into thin air. I walked away from the computer for a few hours. I decided to try ONE more time later that morning. I almost peed my pants when MY BLOG popped right up on the screen! I didn't dare navigate away from it for fear it would vanish again....so right then and there i had it slurped (that really is what it's called) into a book for safe keeping! 5 hours, 300 pages, and 86 bucks later...this is what was created!
The kids LOVE to flip through it and remember all the funny things that they have done! This book is absolutely priceless to me. I am so glad i have it safe in my arms! go to BLURB.com to make your own!
I am a little obsessed with making these hair bows for the girlies. go HERE for tutorial

Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday has always been one of my FAVORITE days... something special about getting the littles all dressed up and heading off to church to learn about our Savior. I know we go every week, but there is just something about Easter Sunday being a little more special.
Whenever i see all my children all together in ONE picture it always makes me a little teary eyed. I can't believe they are mine, and that they are so grown up. I am so blessed to be their mama. The lesson i taught to the teenage Sunday School class was about following the light of Christ and following his path. I am so grateful that i chose that pathway as a young woman, cause that pathway is what has lead to my beautiful family....a family of my own, a family that Paul and I work so hard everyday to keep happy, healthy, and together. We may not vaction, or have fancy things, but i don't care.... we have these little beauties...
bad part of pics at 12 :45 on the way to church....lots of squinty eyes...too bright!
She says that her curls bounce when she runs REALLY fast
