moving on...

Man, I hate that post below...I HAVE to move on from it. (thank you though for making me feel better about myself!) Oh, just in case you were wondering - the guy came back the next morning around 7:30am - Thank you to my sweet little neighbor lady who happened to be watching out for me! i LOVE her. She came rushing over in her jammies banging and ringing my doorbell to let me know he was back. My heart about stopped when she rang the bell so frantically, but i was so relieved to look out and find her standing on my porch. Police were called again and hopefully this dude will get the hint that he is NOT wanted and leave!
I have been teaching my ducks to become attack ducks....not going over so well....they are terrified of me and I am the one who feeds the darn things! oh well...

onto better and cuter things! I have been photographing these little monkeys for quite sometime now, check out their cuteness!

lesson learned.

I wish I had a happy post with lovely pics tonight, but I don't. Instead I am sitting here in the dark thinking about how blessed i am tonight to have all of children home and safe in their beds. You see, I experienced one of the worst feelings of my life today. I left sam asleep in his car seat (in our driveway) while I ran to the backyard to put the ducks back into their pen. I was only gone for a minute when I heard the van door open...followed by a frantic screaming cry from sam. I went straight to the van - the door was open and there was my baby screaming! I settled him back down and looked behind me just in time to see a man in a grey hooded sweatshirt walking in front of my house! I almost threw up. Why was that man in my van and what did he do to my baby? I felt like the worst mother in the world at that moment. I soon discovered that my purse was missing. I thought for sure he had taken it! I tore the house apart...no purse. I needed a phone to call paul and the police, but my phone was in my purse! I tried a few of my neighbor's, but nobody was home.  just as I was heading back home from across the street I saw Paul coming around the corner. He was home early! I met him in tears trying to explain what happened - he called the police. The officer acted like I was an idiot to have left sam alone - I already felt that way, his input didn't help me feel any better.
Anyway, once things calmed down a bit, I sat down and had the thought to check the backyard for my purse. I sent the kids out to check...there it was! I had dropped my purse when i went to rescue Sam! I am so glad to have it!
So, i learned the hard way...NEVER leave children alone - not even for a minute. I lucked out that the man was scared away...I can't even imagine where I would be tonight if he would have snatched my sweet baby.  I have already checked on him twice tonight...I just feel so grateful that it turned out alright and no harm was done!

motherhood...

dear little girls of mine,
Today is mothers day..a special day that is always full of spiritual goodness for me. It is a day to celebrate not only mothers, but womanhood. i love being a woman...i love having that "soft" side...the one that appreciates the beauty in everything around me. As I watch you two grow everyday, I can already tell that you are embracing being girls. You LOVE to dance, you love to sing , you never walk by a pretty flower without stopping to enjoy it - this makes my heart happy. As much as it hurts to know that you are growing up and the days of tutus and pigtails will quickly disappear, I am excited to see what your Heavenly Father has in store for you as young women. I know that you will do great things.
But for now I will soak in as much of the pigtails and tea parties as I can and have fun being your mommy. I hope that I can raise you girls to embrace womanhood and to appreciate it. I heard today that all mothers all beautiful...I think I needed that reminder, because I know sometimes I don't feel beautiful at all. Daddy took these pictures of us tonight and even though I may not think I am beautiful, I think the 3 of us together are incredible!
good night sweet girls! love, mommy

tea time!

so a couple of years I ago I started a fun tradition of having a little tea party the last week of dance class...it never disappoints! Poor little Rachel is so heart broken over the fact that she has outgrown Miss Kris' class. She has bawled for a week...literally. I think if someone gave rachel the chance she would stay 5 years old forever!
Sweet little emily so kindly points out about every hour or so that SHE is still little and can stay with Miss kris...little stink!
Thanks to the adorable mommies who helped me with EVERYTHING!!!!!  I think a good time was had by all!

(thank you Paul for helping - even though you were a bit grouchy about it!) :)
