little man

I can't believe how fast time flies!!!! I swear I just took this little man's newborn pictures....has it REALLY been 6 months? I get to play with him and his sweet mama again today because he was NOT a fan of the cold weather!:)

gone missing....

It seems I have been missing from the blogging world this past week! Our internet connection has been on and off and ridiculously SLOOOW...so good old Paul called and complained and they FINALLY fixed the problem!
What a week! My littlest monster has learned how to crawl, and is into EVERYTHING, he has finally broken teeth through those swollen gums (3 little chompers to be exact)...he has learned the word "totos" which means CHEETOS!:) Oh, and we can't forget about his first taste of POOP! Yup! He got into his poopy diaper and was eating it! SICK!!!! I was trying not to vomit myself! Emily started dry heaving so she ran into the bathroom and slammed the door until it was all cleaned up! That girl has the weakest stomach ever! Gotta love your kids!:)
Anyway, here are a few little projects I have done this week!
I found this pillow on clearance at Target and whipped up a few felt flowers to pin onto it to add a girly touch! This adorable butterfly pillow is part of the new line at Target! This was the last one (for right now) and it had a few little snags so I asked if I could get a discount and the lady gave it to me for half off!!! I got home and fixed the snags with my scissors and TA-DA... good as new! Hey, It never hurts to ask!

This is a rod iron frame thing that I found at the DI (thrift store) that I loved just the way it was, so all I had to do was add a scrap of fabric to it! It makes my family room happy!:)

old shirt...new dress!

I know many of you saw this dress today at church, but I had to post a peek for my mom and sister! I bought this shirt at the thrift store because I loved the ruffle down the front! It was a size 16, too big for me! I looked it over and decided to make it into a dress for the girls! Please...don't look close...it is a total hack job and I am a seriously SAD seamstress, but it still turned out pretty cute! :) it took about a half an hour including  the hairbow!

I had to pop in and brag about my thrift store finds today! You see that AWESOME chair Sam is sitting on in the post below??? Yup. 10 bucks...and best of all...it is a rocking chair and looks AMAZING in his bedroom! and check out this little beauty...full of whimsy, dontcha think? This is also in his room! { I did have to bat my eyelashes a bit and throw in some charm so the old man would lower the price a bit!} It started out as $10.00 but I got him down to $5.00 - still WAAAY more then I would usually pay for a toy, but I couldn't help myself! shhh...don't tell paul!:)  It even plays music when you wind it up - I took a video of it, but I can't figure out how to post the video anymore..things have changed since I did it the last time! Anyone know???

8 months old...

I LOVE him more and more everyday, yet my heart aches for him to stay a baby! I can't believe my last little one is growing up so fast...I find myself soaking up the little bit of babiness he has left in him....

{someday, those swollen little gums might grow some chompers!}

I wish I could BREATHE!!!!!!

I swear, there just might not be anything more annoying then a sinus infection! REALLY, who needs to breathe anyway????? Let's all hope and wish for spring and maybe...just maybe....it will come FAST!:) Oh wait, then that means allergy season will start and STILL no breathing! Oh Man.
Alright. Off to bed with my kleenex box. We are inseperable these days!:)

According to my lovely little 3 year old...I look like I am growing another baby in my tummy! Gee, thanks honey! So today I hit the tredmill AGAIN! I am on a mission to get rid of this baby weight once and for all!
