a blast from the past

Well, little cindy lou(Rachel) has been on my case for a year to get her baby book going! I know, I know, I am a slacker! She is almost 4 years old and has 3 pages done her book! Zach has 2 full books, and then there's poor emily....there's just no hope! So I have decided to make the girls their books through " My publisher" - Paul made me the most Beautiful book of our family for christmas from there, and I ADORE it! I will have to take a picture of it so I can show it off! He was quite proud of himself! I was quite proud of him too!
Anyway, I was lloking for old pictures of Rachel and i came across some that I had completely forgoten about! I can't beleve how teeny tiny she was! I thought I'd post a few! The family one without emily was because I was 7 months pregnant with her!

Janice

This is my procastinator JANICE! We did her senior pictures lastnight and had so much fun! I Love the one with her friends jumping, but it is a bit blurry because they were RUNNING!!!! We tried over again with going slower, but out of all of them, this fuzzy blurry one had the best facial expressions! There is nothing sweeter then girl friends! It really made me miss my girls from HS! We used to act silly all the time!:) Everything is good in the world when your best girlfriends are near!

my birthday boy

Happy Birthday BIG BOY!
I know you are too young right now to read and understand this, but I thought I'd write a little about you in my blog on your special day! Today your are six years old! You are my handsome, vibrant, smart, spiritual little toe headed boy. I can't believe that 6 years ago today i was going through what I thought was the worst thing ever! I didn't think you were EVER going to be born. After 2 days of INTENSE labor and hours of pushing, I wanted to give up and call it quits! Daddy was so worried for the both of us, I could tell because he was getting a little snippy towards the nurse! I had developed a fever during pushing and I was so dehydrated, I was hysterical! Daddy was sneaking water to me during contractions and helped me so much! I remember thinking that it all had to be worth it once you were born. Finally at 9:05pm you were here! I was so out of it I don't remember much after that! I do remember thinking..." I am the luckiest girl in the world - he is beautiful!" After the best turkey sandwich EVER and a huge cup of ice water, I was thinking a bit more clearly. I was admiring your wrinkly little toes and long fingers (with your daddy's crooked pinkie!) and it hit me - I was a mommy! I knew my entire life that I wanted babies - lots of them!:) How in the world do people really go through this more than once????!!!! CHANGE OF PLANS!!!! ONE BABY WILL BE GREAT!
We took you home and daddy and I were completely in love with you! How could life be any sweeter? You have been such a joy to us ever since. I love your sweet smile, your beautiful baby blues, your innocence. I Love to hear you sing your favorite primary songs, I will forever cherish the way you say your prayers - so stinkin sweet! You are such a peacemaker and the best big brother your sisters could ever ask for! Thanks for making me the luckiest mommy in the world! I LOVE YOU!
love, mommy

our family TV debut!

Well, Apparently our family was on the news Friday! How come out of 10,000 people WE have to be the dorks that end up on the news?! David A. was home from American idol and Murray High had a pep rally for him at the school! We could here it from our house all afternoon and the kids were DYING to walk over to check out the excitement... so the nice mommy I am, I piled them into the stroller and headed for the HS. Luckily Paul came home just as we were leaving and joined us on our David extravaganza! It was so fun! I swear our whole ward was there, someone said we should have started with an opening prayer!:) We had a great spot all to ourselves (and the ward) but the minute David came passed us all CRAZINESS began! Zach was pushed and shoved by screaming teenie boppers and policemen, which caused him to cry! He was devastated that he was too short to see David! Daddy had the camera and played the "paparazzi" really well! Good job daddy! It was fun to here him sing in person! Even the missionaries showed up! Hm mm...I wonder....is David church approved??? ;) I snuck a picture of them at the fence!
Anyway, watch tonight...our nerdy little family might just be on there!:)

I am not sure why I posted that last picture it's of nothing!:)

My baby is turning six...OH MY!

Well, Kindergarten is about over and I feel as though my baby is about to enter the "real world"....All day school, school lunches, tests, bullies, his first loose tooth (which he is so excited about!), sports, and I swear before I know it he will have his first broken heart! The way things are going right now he is the ladies man already! I went with his class to the Zoo yesterday and we hung out with the girls the entire day! At first it really made my heart hurt to see that he wasn't friends with any of the boys, but by the end of the trip I was relieved that he wasn't interested in being a bully or out of control like the boys in his class! Although a part of me wants him to be a typical boy and maybe, just maybe, get in trouble just once! Paul keeps telling me it's alright if he gets a "red stick" in class every once in a while - BOYS ARE SUPPOSED TO! Zach would be horrified if he got anything but a green stick! It scares me how much he is like me - I NEVER got in trouble at school, I am such a people pleaser and I am afraid I have rubbed off on him a little too much!
I took him out on his own photoshoot lastnight for his 6 year old pictures - NO GIRL PICTURES....just him! HE LOVED the attention and he loved the fact that his sisters and daddy came along to watch! It was so fun - he is such a natural infront of the camera! Can I just bottle him up and save this age forever?

Tea for two?

No way!!! Tea for twelve is way more fun! Rachel has been upset with the fact that her dance class was ending for the summer, so I told her that we could plan a little tea party to end the year! It was so much fun! Her favorite part was that her teacher Miss Kris showed up and gave her a hug! I don't think Rachel said 2 words the entire time (other than a couple melt downs) but the minute we got in the car to drive home....NONSTOP jabbering about it the rest of the day! Infact, it was the first thing she talked about this morning! Thanks girlies and mommies for coming!
It was so much fun seeing everyones favorite doll and such BEAUTIFUL party dresses! Thanks for playing along with us! Oh! I LOVED that so many of the girls took care of their party invites for an ENTIRE week and wore them to the party... It made my day!:)
To my photographer girls... I know, I know, The pictures are terribly grainy and fuzzy, but I was under a gazeebo at noon! What do you expect?!!!!;)
