Well, I really need to go get some things done today, but it has been snowing since last night and hasn't let up! I really hate to admit this, but I don't own a pair of snow boots - I hate snow! Paul always snow blows the driveway and sidewalks (not to mention everyone elses too!) I have NO IDEA how to even start the snow blower - the thought of it severely stresses me out!:) I am trying to muster up the energy to head out there and do it by hand! I think My neighbors will die of shock if they see ME out there shoveling!!!! Maybe I will come across my muffin tins while I am at it! This was my conversation with Zach about my missing muffin tins!
ME: " Do you know where my muffin Tins are?"
Zach: "UMMMMM... Maybe they are under all the snow!!!!"
ME: "WHY would they be in the snow?"
Zach " I don't know, maybe they make good snow toys."
Sounds a bit guilty yo me!:)
Anyway, I guess if I want to get the van out of the driveway anytime soon, I had best get a shovelin!

Some one to look up to....

My cousins sent us a DVD the other day with pictures of my Grandma and Grandpa's life. It was an amazing slide show! I loved seeing how beautiful my Grandma was at my age and how Glamorous that generation was! Zach's favorite part are the pictures of Grandpa as an "ARMY GUY" - he is now dressing like him! He has me read the little war stories that go along with the pictures! We have watched the DVD about 20 times and yet, they are still acting as if it is their first time seeing it! Zach wrote this letter to his Grandpa and we put it in the mail today! I thought it was so cute!
Incase you can't read Kindergarten handwriting it it says....
HI! like your army pictures. I am glad you stayed safe.
I (heart) you
Zach
OH! Paul thinks he did alright on his test - all these years of playing video games really paid off! He had to fly airplanes on a computer screen - he proudly announced
that he only crashed 4 planes - GREAT!!!!:) Is that really something to be proud of????!!!!!:)

Say a little prayer !

Today is the day we have been waiting for for about a year! It's finally Paul's turn to
Take his Air Traffic Control Test! He has been on the waiting list for about a year now, and it all comes down to today! It is an 8 hour Test! He feels so much pressure because this is his only shot at it - they won't hire anyone over 30 years old! I am so glad that he's taking it and not me - I KNOW I WOULD FAIL!:) Anyway, I have been praying all morning for him! Any extra prayers are welcome!:)

you know it's time for a vacation when....

You know it's time for a vacation when your kids starting "playing vacation" - yup, it's a real game, just ask my kids! All I have heard about for the past few months is, "When are we going to go to Florida again?" I can't even believe that they even remember doing that! Zach is DYING to see his nana & Pop-pop, but will not stop talking about his cousin Kaity! He is convinced that she lives ON the beach! Well, yesterday I had to go check on them because they were unusually quiet! they were all 3 up on Zach's bed playing vacation. Zach's bed was the airplane and I was even invited to go along with them! It was so funny, but it made me feel sad for them at the same time - they miss them so much!
This is just a random old picture of emily that I came across today, I had to laugh that her eyes were two different sizes! I had to go find her and check them today to see if they are really that way and I just never noticed - they aren't!:)

A fairy dust birthday!

Happy birthday to Daddy! Yesterday was daddy's birthday and the kids wanted to make him a surprise for when he got home from work! i was out of cake mixes and I was too lazy to haul all the kids to the store for one thing! I ended up finding a Raspberry muffin mix and we used that instead! Rachel insisted that it be decorated with Fairy Dust (powdered sugar) Zach wanted NOTHING to do with fairy dust! Then we went on a hunt for candles - all I could find were 3 PINK candles - by this point Zach was royally ticked off! To make things alright with him I told him that he could make a sign with finger paints - all was well with the world again!:) For our entertainment we played a game of SORRY and Zach won! Have you ever tried to play a board game with a bossy 5 year old and 2 toddlers - NOT EASY!!!! I think the kids had more fun then Paul! HAPPY BIRTHDAY -
enjoy your last year in your 20's!!!!

little bits of randomness

I know I just blogged yesterday, and I really do have a life - I promise! I just wanted to show you a few pictures from today! April and I tried wheeler farm today, but the wind was INSANE! Emily wouldn't let me put her down, so this is the only cute shot that i got!
The others were taken when we got home! I have to thank April for the use of her memory card today - i left mine in the car and I was too lazy to go get it!
Speaking of April, for those of you who don't know her, she has become one of my FAVORITE people ever! I love her! We were pretty good friends in High School, other than the times we'd steal eachothers boyfriends!!!! My one and only encounter with the police was with her! We were doing a Chinese fire drill on Foothill Dr. after a football game! When we saw the lights behind us April freaked and handed me her can of
orange crush - The police officer could see how terrified we were and became a bit suspicious of what was in the can! He came over to my side and shined his light in the can! I think I almost peed my pants! I told him it was orange crush - how could he not believe 2 cute girls in pepclub skirts, right???!!!!;) we were let off with a warning! OOOOOOOOhhhh....I must find a picture of us in those skirts!:)
Anyway, we are still friends to this day and I love it!

Boys are soooo boring!

Rachel had her little friends from church over this morning. I don't know if it's just the age thing or what, but they didn't even play together! They each did their own thing! Well, after Sam went home, Rachel says all ticked off, "Boys are sooo boring - all they do is boy stuff" I had to laugh because the boys were playing with her kitchen and dolls the whole time! Silly girl!
I just clicked on any random picture to put on here - I love this one! Except for the big cows behind in the back ground!:) Zach looks so little!
