Crappy day blues

This top picture makes me laugh - Rachel was ticked cause zach wouldn't get out of the picture!
Well, I was having a crappy morning, so april & I decided to go on a little photoshoot with our own kids to cheer me up! The light was too bright, but we didn't even seem to care - we were having fun! Have I mentioned that this is my new favorite spot? It's totally out of the box for me, but that's what made it so neat! The owner was kind enough to let us inside the building to use the FABULOUS brick walls and old barn doors! I was so happy i could have kissed him! *smooch* to the nice man! Anyway, this building is my dream building for a future studio! :)
Well, april...I am feeling mucho better today - thanks girl! *Smooches to you too*!!!!!!

My Ballerina

She's the one on the far left!

Rachel started her dance class on Tues!
Mommies aren't allowed inside to watch because
It's too distracting, so I had to sneak through
the little opening to take a quick picture of her first
day! The pictures are terrible, but I don't
care - she was so stinkin cute! Wednesday
morning at 7:oo I was awakened by a little
ballerina. This was our conversation:

Rach: (whispering) mommy! We are going to be late!

me: (still asleep) for what?

Rach: For dance class.

me: Honey, it's not for another week!

rach: NOOOOOO I WANT TO GO TODAY!!!!!!

Needless to say, the whole family was now awake!
I turned to look at her and started laughing!
She was wearing her tights, one ballet shoe,
no leotard, her ballet skirt tucked and twisted
into her panties and messy pigtails from
the day before! My laughing just ticked her off
even more! She cried and sobbed for a good
hour! So, I guess she loved her new class! For those
of you who know her well, You know how moody
and clingy she is. I was so worried when I saw that
moms weren't allowed to watch, but she went
right in and had a blast! I was so relieved to finally
find something that makes her happy!

CRAZY BUSY!!!

Holy Cow - I have been so busy with pictures that I literally
can't keep up! It is so fun, but stressful at times too! I went
from being a stay at home mom with nothing to do - to running around
juggling Kindergarten helper, ballet & tap classes for sweet little Rach,
photographer and now teaching the laurel class.... which now means
meetings, activities, lessons etc.....!!!!!! I am so excited, but a bit nervous
about having a calling with so many responsibilities. I have only ever
taught sunbeams and nursery, and we all know that it's not hard to teach
2-3 year olds "I am grateful for my hands!" I think at our meeting today
someone said the next lesson is on being morally clean or something to
that effect! YIKES- that's no grateful for my hands and feet lesson, what
have I gotten myself into! I am excited for a new experience!
Anyway, here are a few pictures from the past week. I have a new
"Vintage" action that I used on a few of these, yay or nay????!!! I
thought I'd ask my biggest fans for their opinions......That's you!!! Let's
play a game shall we? If you leave a comment on any of my blog entry's
this week, I will have Zach pick a name out of a hat and whoever he
picks wins a free frame - your choice of color and style! Hey - That's
a $20.00 value! Let the games begin!
This top one is vintage, so is the very first picture!

This top one is a good example of vintage -
the bottom one is regular.

Naartjie model?

So Rachel decided to dress herself the other day... This is
what she came up with! She was so proud of herself and said,
"Look mommy! I am wearing a Naartjie skirt from your old work
at the mall!" Then she asked for me to work there again so I could
buy her a headband that matches the skirt!

alright, It seems as if I have been tagged!

#1 I hate folding laundry, so I have a "clean clothes pile" :)

#2 I love to shop at thrift stores for cool pieces of furniture! sounds
gross I know, but I have some some great things! I will post
some pictures!

#3 My favorite part of church is playing in the "rice box" with the
nursery kids! Thanks Kennan for that ingenious idea!

#4 my sister and i are great friends now... even if she did chase me
around the kitchen with the broom as a teenager! Brooms hurt!
She was hitting me with it because I wouldn't do the dishes for her!

#5 My car is a mess all of the time!

#6 I love being a mommy and I would have a million babies if Paul
would let me! ( He says absolutely no more than 4) :)

#7 I pretend that I scrapbook, but really I only think about doing it!

#8 When I am bored I love to go outside and swing on the swing set with
the kids! I fight Zach for the big kid swing - it's the only one my butt
fits in!

There ya have it! I 'm sure you were all so interested in that!
I am supposed to tag other photographers, but All the ones I know
have been tagged - I will tag my friends! April, Kennan and Mindy
your it! :)

How stinkin' cute is she?

Meet little miss "A". I had so much fun with her last night - I could have photographed her all night! I was so excited when I saw her ADORABLE dress and as a bonus, her mommy wasn't afraid of doing unique things! I love that!
